Parcel #6 – North Parcel![]() Approximately 250 acres, this farm is almost all timber. It has a big power line running across it and has 3 permanent stands there that will remain on the property. These stands have accounted for a lot of big bucks over the years. This farm also has a lot of big ridges and some very deep ravines as well as some cliffs, so again, natural barriers that make great funnels to put them right in your lap. Stand or still hunting is good; drives are tough, feeders work great! Last year my daughter hunted this piece for one day and she passed on 3 good bucks we estimated at 2.5, 3.5, and 5 years old. They were low percentage shots so she held off (that makes me proud). My son also hunted this piece and missed a big 10 point and passed on an small 8 pointer. I took three clients on this Parcel last year (2006). Two of them killed bucks the first day out (two and three year old bucks). Another hunter took a doe at 8:30 am (late season), another at 10:30 am, and a buck at 4:30 pm all from the same permanent stand in one of the oak trees overlooking the power lines. This is a big piece of land that can accommodate a lot of hunters at once. It has very limited road frontage, so 4 wheelers are a must for stand placement and deer recovery. As a hunting guide and outfitter, I am very proud of the fact that of all the clients, friends, and family members I have guided over the years, they ALL have either passed up shots, missed or harvested deer on my managed and protected properties. I have a 100% shooting opportunity record! I started guiding professionally in the late 80’s and as far as I know I was the 1st full time, professional native whitetail outfitter in Ohio. So not trying to blow my own horn, I feel the need to stress my track record as a way of saying I know what I am doing when managing property to produce deer. I know where to place stands to harvest those deer, and this knowledge and experience goes with these Parcels.
